2009 Walkathon a Bright Success Despite a Few Showers

Participants to the West Palm Beach Chapter of the Links, Inc. Annual Walkathon brought smiles, good spirits and cheer to the event held Saturday, October 24th.  The event started out with a few scattered showers but quickly cleared up, making way for lots of fun had by all.

This year's event will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Links Foundation, Inc.

We would like to send many thanks to our Milemarker Sponsors, Betty from Zumba Fitness who provided our high-energy warm-up, the Mens Basketball Team from Palm Beach Atlantic University who cheered on our walkers, Connecting Link Stephan Bryant for the great music, Mr. Roosevelt who photographed the event, the representatives from the Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation, Link Lisa Jones, our chairperson, and all Links, family, friends and community supporters who participated with us.
